We believe Thunder Bay Trees is the internet’s only video blog dedicated solely to the topic of trees, tree care, arboriculture, forestry and urban forestry-and it is based out of Thunder Bay!

About

Thunder Bay Trees is a videoblog by me, Jay Dampier. The content is about trees in and around Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada.

I am an environmental educator with an interest in trees, arboriculture and forest ecology. I have experience in forestry, arboriculture, adult education, and volunteer management. For a season in my life, I studied theology.

As a self-proclaimed tree-nerd, I hold graduate degrees in Environmental Education and Forestry, an undergrad degree in Natural Science and a Diploma in Forest Resources Management. I hold an Ontario Pesticide Applicator License and used to hold an ISA certified arborist certification while working in New York State. So I guess you could call me an uncertified arborist.

My wife, two daughters and I call Thunder Bay home since 2003. I grew up in Nipigon and love Northwestern Ontario.
